In lieu of flowers, my mother, Rita Slator, had the brilliant idea of collecting money for a scholarship for women in Computer Science at NDSU.
This is a topic my father and I had many conversations about, an area where our sciences intersected. He was an incredible mentor to so many, and I know he would have loved this idea. Please contribute if you can.
In talking with those who knew him, and in reading the stories people have posted, it is so evident what an incredible mentor and support my father was to students. I know that this scholarship would be something he would be incredibly proud to have attached to his name.
